Abstrak

Local wisdom is an invaluable heritage that encompasses traditions, knowledge and values passed down from generation to generation in village communities. This article discusses efforts to explore and maintain local wisdom in the context of Mukapayung Village, located in Cililin District, West Java. Mukapayung Village has a long history rich with unique culture, arts and traditions, and provides an interesting case study to explore how local wisdom manifests in various aspects of its community life. This article explores how Mukapayung Village maintains and enriches local wisdom through traditional arts, agriculture, traditional medicinal knowledge, and ancestral stories. We also discuss the challenges and opportunities faced by the people of Mukapayung Village in maintaining their local wisdom amidst globalization and modernization. In addition, this article highlights the role of the younger generation in maintaining and advancing local wisdom, so that this cultural heritage can continue to develop and adapt to changing times. This case study provides insight into the importance of local wisdom in enriching the cultural identity of a community and positively impacting the welfare of the community and the sustainability of the village.
