MENYONGSONG MASA DEPAN HIJAU : PERAN REBOISASI DALAM MITIGASI KRISIS LINGKUNGAN (Studi kasus Pada Warga Masyarakat Desa Babakan Kecamatan Ciparay, Kabupaten Bandung, Jawa Barat, Indonesia)

Abstrak

Forest deforestation has occurred everywhere, including in the Bandung Regency area. The impact of deforestation is very detrimental and can threaten the sustainability of life. This article examines the role of the reforestation program carried out by SISDAMAS Community Service Program (KKN) students in increasing community understanding and awareness in one of the villages in Bandung Regency, West Java. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of reforestation programs in increasing community understanding and awareness. The method used in this research is a door-to-door survey by visiting respondents directly. The results showed an increase in public understanding and awareness of the importance of reforestation and preserving nature. In other words, the community understands the problems that exist in the area, such as the destruction of forests and the ecosystems in them. Researchers suggest the need for reforestation to restore the function of the forest as it should be so that it can provide benefits and mitigate disasters that may arise.
