Menopause dan Pengobatan Alternatif Penyakitnya di Kampung Genteng, Kabupaten Bandung

Abstract

Menopause is determined by the last menstrual period. Because the cessation of menstruation varies and many of the symptoms thought to be associated with menopause can occur before the cessation of menstruation, there is rarely an appropriate time for this to occur. Geographically, Genteng Village, Pasirhuni Hamlet, Laksana Village, Ibun District, Bandung Regency, West Java, is difficult to reach the nearest dentist location. Traditional medicine based on local wisdom is believed to be able to cure most of the symptoms of menopause and post-menopausal diseases. Alternative medicine is a form of traditional medicine to treat menopausal symptoms and post-menopausal diseases in Kampung Tile. This study aims to socialize about the ins and outs of menopause and explore information on alternative medicinal plants for symptomatic and post-menopausal diseases. The method used is descriptive qualitative method through socialization, interviews and studies of related national and international journals. Data was obtained through 3 stages, socialization, interviews and exploration. The plants used are salam, turmeric, shy daughter, takokak, binahong, betel, ginger, lime, garlic and cloves. Most of the plants can be found on site. However, there are things that need to be bought into the market such as garlic.
