Upaya Meningkatkan Peran Serta Masyarakat RW 03 Desa Puncaksari dalam Pencegahan Penularan Virus Covid-19

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out at RW 03 Puncaksari Village, Sindangkerta District, West Bandung Regency which has the aim of optimizing the potential and participation of the community in preventing the transmission of the Covid-19 virus. The increasing number of Covid-19 spreads in West Bandung, which has so far been confirmed to reach 19,090, presents the fact that the Covid-19 virus has increased drastically. The problems faced by partners are that the community does not understand correctly about the Covid-19 virus, lack of resources, and difficulty accessing information about the Covid-19 virus. The methods used in this community service include socialization by conducting discussions and counseling. The result is conducting discussions, developing potential and resources, conducting counseling and mentoring, as well as monitoring and evaluation. Involvement and participation, namely as a place provider to carry out socialization and counseling about Covid-19, keep the surrounding environment clean, beautiful, healthy, and comfortable, and provide human resources who are ready to be trained voluntarily, especially given understanding and training on how to maintain physical and environmental health as an effort to prevent the transmission of the Covid-19 virus. Anxiety and anxiety of the residents are slightly reduced with increasing public understanding. Residents give a positive assessment of the form of service. It can be seen that of the residents who responded to the implementation as much as 94.54% gave a positive response, and only 5.46% gave a negative response. The negative responders are residents who do not contribute to this service activity. This questionnaire also reveals public awareness. This means that all residents agree that awareness about preventing the transmission of the Covid-19 virus and about environmental health is increasing.
