Abstract

Indonesia is a country with the largest Muslim population in the world, so halal products are a requirement for food or beverage products that can increase a higher selling value compared to products that do not yet have halal certification. While food security in Indonesia, especially in the Sindangkerta District, is still relatively low, one of the UMKM businesses is green grass jelly ice. Green Cincau Ice Drink is very easy to access and has several locations in Sindangkerta District. The purpose of this research is to determine the critical point of halal UMKM products in Sindangkerta District and identify which UMKM products are halal certified, especially green grass jelly ice drink products. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, by carrying out two approaches, namely the socialization method and the assistance and consultation of the halal certification process. UMKM products in Sindangkerta District do not have critical points in the green grass jelly UMKM product production process, there are also no critical points for green grass jelly UMKM product equipment, it's just that the level of hygiene still needs further observation.
