One of the requirements to become more competitive in the 21st century is literacy and numeracy. The way to achieve this is through education, which is exemplified in the application of learning. The aim of this research is to describe three aspects of learning: 1) the design of literacy and numeracy learning in elementary schools, 2) how it is implemented, and 3) the challenges faced and the efforts made to implement this learning. A qualitative approach was combined with descriptive analysis techniques in this research. Information gathering in this exploration used perception, interview and documentation strategies. The information legitimacy test was carried out using source triangulation. Data reduction, data presentation, and verification are some of the methods used in data analysis. The principal, literacy teacher, homeroom teacher, and grade 2 and 3 students at SDN Patrol were the subjects of this research. In accordance with the 2013 curriculum and the stages of the school literacy program, namely habituation, development and learning, the implementation of literacy and numeracy learning in schools is included in daily learning which is carried out synchronously or asynchronously, and the implementation of literacy and numeracy learning is constrained in terms of facilities and infrastructure. and the efforts made were in collaboration with one of the schools in Patrol. The findings of this research indicate that literacy and numeracy learning can be used as an alternative for teachers and prospective teachers to develop effective and efficient learning strategies while still paying attention to the methods used, facilities and infrastructure, as well as existing content. taught, in accordance with the research results described.
