Abstract

Keragaman agama adalah karakteristik yang menentukan dari banyak komunitas multikultural di seluruh dunia, dan Indonesia, dengan kekayaan budaya dan agamanya, menjadi studi kasus yang patut dicontoh. Dalam konteks ini, Desa Kertajaya di Kabupaten Ciamis menjadi bukti kerukunan dan koeksistensi antar umat beragama. Inti dari koeksistensi ini terletak pada peran penting pemerintah desa dalam membentuk dan membina toleransi beragama. Pemerintah Desa Kertajaya berperan sebagai perantara yang penting antara masyarakat dan tingkat pemerintahan yang lebih tinggi. Pemerintah desa merumuskan kebijakan, memfasilitasi dialog antar agama, dan menciptakan lingkungan yang kondusif untuk toleransi dan dialog antar agama. Dalam penelitian ini, kami menggali analisis komprehensif tentang kebijakan pemerintah desa terkait toleransi beragama. Selain itu, wawancara dengan perangkat desa, pemuka agama, dan anggota masyarakat memberikan wawasan yang sangat berharga mengenai persepsi mereka terhadap peran pemerintah dalam mengelola keragaman agama.
