Sosialisasi Pengembangan Minat Literasi Sejak Dini Di SDN Jatisari

Abstract

Reading is an important thing in human life. The students' low interest in reading is the main reason for carrying out this activity. Elementary school is initial education to develop children's literacy skills. Literacy culture needs to be cultivated so that the knowledge students have will become broader and can be useful for themselves or society in the future. The aim of this service is to help children become individuals who are more creative and critical in thinking, as well as helping broaden their horizons about the world and diverse cultures. The service methodology used is a community empowerment (Sisdamas) based methodology. In implementing the Sisdamas KKN, the steps taken are, identifying problems, analyzing, planning strategies, and implementing planned programs in accordance with existing problems. The results obtained from this reading literacy socialization program are developing literacy skills and increasing students' interest in reading, which is not only influenced by parents, teachers but also the environment which plays an important role in increasing children's interest in reading.
