Laporan KKN 68 Muharram Festival

Abstract

Muharram Festival 1445 H is held as one of the aspect of community
empowerment in the KKN Sisdamas of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung
2023 which have a goal to train children of DTA in Desa Jagabaya to participate to enliven the spread of Islam, especially during the celebration
of Islamic holidays, such as this month of Muharram through various
competition. This activity is carried out based on the service methods
applicable in KKN Sisdamas; Social Reflection, Program Preparation, Program
Implementation, and Evaluation and Reporting. The participant creation
competition is an activity outside school and family education in the form of
games that are fun, healthy, organized, and held in Islamic boarding schools
with a beautiful atmosphere, this is very necessary for teenagers and children
in an effort to improve human resources and develop children's creativity.
With the competition, participants are more motivated to increase their
willingness to learn and self-confidence to appear in public. Moreover, the
winners of the competition will receive certain awards so the participants are
more motivated to learn. This activity was attended by 97 participants. After
Muharram Festival was held, the children had more friends from different
DTA. They also become more enthusiastic and motivated in learning about
Islam. Most people hope that this activity will be carried out regularly every
year
